Happy Friday Newsletter
As we watch the leaves fall from the trees, we’re celebrating November’s theme of “Be Thankful.”
Happy Friday!
November has arrived faster than we imagined, and before we know it, the holidays will be here too! As we watch the leaves fall from the trees, we’re celebrating November’s theme of “Be Thankful.”
Being thankful is simply defined as “acknowledging good things we have received or experienced.”
People enjoy sharing thankfulness together. Thankfulness is one of the most powerful sources of happiness. When we express gratitude to our friends, families, coworkers and others, we improve peoples’ lives and build better relationships.
Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.
– William Arthur Ward
Being thankful also has a positive impact on us. According to Harvard Health, being thankful and grateful can make you happier and healthier too! Giving thanks helps us acknowledge the good things in our lives. Research has also shown that gratitude and thankfulness are associated with greater happiness and improved mental health.
Thankfulness is something we can all practice every day. Bonus: it’s free to do! Here are a few ways you can incorporate acts of thankfulness and gratitude into your life:
- Show appreciation: Simply express your gratitude and positive emotions to others with a, “thank you,” “this made my day better,” or, “I appreciate you.”
- Give recognition: Say what someone did, highlight their efforts, and give them praise for it, like, “That project was very difficult and you completed it perfectly.”
- Provide Acknowledgement: Let people know you are paying attention, like, “I noticed you completed the important assignment I sent you.”
With that advice in mind, we’d like to say that all of us at Amazing Workplace are grateful to be partnering with you. Thank you.
Wishing you all the happiest holidays!
