I enjoy that I have the freedom to work from home, if there is a problem that someone is available to help me almost immediately. The medical benefits are outstanding and am very thankful for them. If I have questions regarding benefits, etc; HR is always there to assist. Main point is no matter what my issue is, whomever I reach out to, does not make me feel like I asked a stupid question or talk down to me. I also appreciate the fun things that HR puts together for us to get us engaged with our coworkers. Lastly, I appreciate these surveys because it shows that upper management really cares what we think.

It seeks to embody the values for serving the underserved with dignity and respect to make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve. The fact that I get to be a 'boots on the ground' part of their mission is incredibly empowering. The work definitely has its challenges, but helping others to address their often complex medical and psychosocial needs in practical ways that bring hope and positive change is as rewarding as it is fulfilling. Monroe Plan not only embodies this philosophy with its client members, it also takes the time and effort to communicate and demonstrate this same caring approach with its employees--empowering us to pass this along to our members. I know that this has not been easy with all the changes of the last few years: changes with NYS, the recent pandemic, and the ever-changing needs within our community. Our team recently had a luncheon with the senior leadership of the organization. They took the time to hear feedback from us-both positive input and suggestions for improvement as well as issues of concern.
