What is a Certified Amazing Workplace?
Amazing Workplaces genuinely care about the happiness of their employees and customers.
It means that 70% of employees have independently verified that they are often satisfied, happy, or very happy at their workplace. This is very impressive or "amazing." This is no small achievement.
An Amazing Workplace has made a commitment to their employees and customers. Amazing workplaces actively measure and work to improve happiness. It is quite amazing that these workplaces focus on what matters most to their people – happiness.
Workplaces may receive certification by conducting a Happiness Conversation through the Amazing Workplace Platform™. Workplaces who independently verify that 70% or more of their people (employees) often feel satisfied, happy, or very happy are certified as an Amazing Workplace for that calendar year.
How is Employee Happiness Measured?
Conversations are for People. Surveys are for Monkeys.
Workplace Overview
St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital is among the top pediatric cancer hospitals in the country, and is recognized internationally for our pioneering research and treatment for children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. We strive to recruit and retain the most driven and talented professionals in our field, and encourage them to stop at nothing when it comes to saving the lives of the children we serve. Our employees feel a strong connection to the mission and the pride they have in being a part of finding cures and saving children -- in fact, they consistently rank it as a top benefit of working here. Its just one of the reasons St. Jude has been recognized for seven consecutive years by Fortune magazine as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For. Consistent with the vision of our founder, Danny Thomas, no child is ever denied treatment at St. Jude based on race, religion or a familys ability to pay.
