Workplaces may receive certification by conducting a Happiness Conversation through the Amazing Workplace Platform™. Workplaces who independently verify that 70% or more of their people (employees) often feel satisfied, happy, or very happy are certified as an Amazing Workplace for that calendar year.

Employee and customer happiness is gathered from actual employees and customers of a workplace. This process starts when workplaces send out a Happiness Conversation to their employees or customers. They can do this for any company, at any time, and with no verification that they actually worked for or did business with the company they are reviewing.

Michigan Virtual has been working hard to provide a path to the future for students and educators since 1998. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation focused on education, we believe that brilliance resides in all of us, ready to change the world with the next big idea. In 1999, under the directive of Public Act 230, we launched the Michigan Virtual School. Today, the Michigan Virtual School provides online courses for students and professional development for educators. We’re dedicated to helping each student shine their brightest by enhancing their opportunities to learn and working to strengthen the teachers that will show them the way. Here we strive to place each student’s potential within reach. By discovering new ways to grow, we’re taking K-12 education to the next level and working to leverage face-to-face, blended, and online learning innovations that facilitate the advancement of education.
